Complete ELA IXL R.R.1-5. You should have recorded by the end of the day on Tuesday or Thursday 2 of your best grades. The other 3 are not required, but will be a great review for you for NWEA testing.

Monday: Chapters 17-19 due with quiz (end of novel)
Tuesday: work day in small group or with a partner on your spiral. . . true/truth charts, plot diagram, SIFT charts, vocab, questions, literary devices, etc.
Wednesday: In-class assessment (closed-book and notes)
Thursday: In-class, on-demand writing prompt for NBTT assessment (focus: conflicts in novel)
Friday: Caesar's English Final Exam; begin Holocaust unit
Complete Chapter 13 only (no vocab) due Monday. Also, update your true/truth charts, your plot diagram (rising action only with page numbers of text evidence), and your SIFT categories. The last two are end-of-unit, ongoing projects, so are not due on Monday.

Complete Chapter 9 in NBTT due Tuesday.
Complete your de-construction of the in-class prompt response. Be sure to follow these guidelines: Hook/Lead: squiggly line; Thesis Statement: underline; Text Evidence: highlight color 1; Reasoning: highlight color 2; Transition words and Phrases: circle; Conclusion/Closing: underline.
Then, be sure to revise by adding things that you are missing or are under par. Bring revised copy with sll deconstruction markings tomorrow.
Complete your comparison/contrast symbolic project--due Wednesday; Chapters 6/7 of NBTT due Thursday; Chapter 8 of NBTT will be due Monday after Spring Break, so you may do that now, as well!

Prepare for a quiz on NBTT Chapters 1-5 tomorrow. I would suggest re-reading those chapters tonight.
Also, work on your visual symbolic representation of a comparison/contrast between Philip Malloy and Ms. Narwin. Use visuals only and provide a key on the back for each visual symbol, identifying what that symbol represents for which character (character trait). . . due Wednesday.
Complete Chapters 4 & 5 from NBTT. Complete your true/truth chart through and including Chapter 5.
Complete reading Chapter 1 only of NBTT. In your reading spiral, complete vocabulary (3-column chart using in-class dictionary) and questions. Be sure to use text evidence to support your answers for questions with *'s. (#3 and 4). Also, complete a 3 x 5" card with your complete heading and 5 pieces of text evidence showing that NBTT is a "documentary novel." Caesar's English Test and Lesson 19 (#1-2 only) due Friday. Memorized "Star Spangled Banner" due for presentation on Friday.
