We completed PARCC Reading Tests 1 & 2 today during AM and PM. We will take PARCC Reading Test 3 tomorrow AM.

Don't forget that PARCC testing for Reading is Monday (AM and PM) and Tuesday (AM only). If you'd like to practice, some have asked for a reference. . . The following link is very helpful!
Also, Wednesday your Poetry Portfolio is due. See your assignment sheet for details. You Poetry Assessment will be Wednesday, as well. I previewed the test with you in class so study!
Your memorized poem will be delivered Friday in ELA class.

Complete your Close Read of the Shakespearean Sonnet 130 due Monday.
Also, Read to Self (only) "The Highwayman" (566-569). Remember this is a narrative poem, that tells a story. Be prepared for a quiz on Monday on your reading. Focus your study of this poem on the following: rhyme scheme, metaphor, simile, hyperbole, personification, alliteration, onomatopoeia, and assonance. (Hint, hint) : )
